With the training of Laundry & Dye Association of France, in 1997, on the Xidan Street, the first joint-stock FORNET laundry store opened.



Development history

Beijing FORNET Laundry & Service Co., Ltd. was founded in July 1997. FORNET is the first laundry brand in China to operate chain stores by way of franchise. FORNET is among the first registered franchise enterprises authorized by China Chain Store & Franchise Association, and also a member of International Fabric Care Institute(Europe). In this group made up of fabric care associations and research centers from many countries, FORNET is the first enterprise members. Through close exchange and cooperation with foreign counterparts, as well as many years of continuous improvement and innovation, FORNET maintains a strong vitality

In eleven years, FORNET laundry stores with a calla lily logo have made their way into more than 170 cities in 30 provinces and autonomous regions, and there are nearly 600 franchisees with nearly 100 new franchisees joined each year. The reinvestment rate of FORNET is unusually high in Chinese laundry brands. Currently, more than 20% of the 300 franchisees have opened a second, a third# or even a sixth stores. With its marvelous strength, sophisticated system, and standardized services, FORNET gains trust from the consumers and has entered a stage of stable development.

With the incessant growth and development of FORNET franchise operation system, FORNET Beijing headquarters set up subsidiary companies in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu in 2002 and 2003, with the purpose of providing more timely and effective services and assistance for franchisees around China. At present, there are over 150 employees who directly serve the FORNET headquarters and subsidiaries, mainly engaged in providing store opening support, training, equipment maintenance and repair, operation planning, technical support, operation supervision and laundry technical research and development.

FORNET has the two largest professional training centers in China that are located in Beijing and Shanghai. The training centers are equipped with comprehensive laundry facilities including perc solvent, HYD dry cleaning equipment and the latest wet cleaning equipment, etc.; the teaching facilities are invested with more than RMB 3 million, and the total area of the training centers is over 2,000m 2 that can accommodate more than 100 trainees simultaneously. In 2005, the training centers had 1 senior technician, 3 laundry technicians, nearly 20 senior cleaners, and trained over 2,000 qualified employees for the franchisees including over 200 certified national medium-level cleaners.

In 2003, Chairman of Laundry & Dye Association of France said admiringly when visiting China, ※There is no training base in such a scale in Europe or the US. Such a large scale is very rare in this professional field.§

Laundry technology from France

France is the first country that develops the operation mode of front shop back factory.5角 SEC, with a very long history, is still the largest laundry chain enterprise in the world. Mr. CHAVANAN, founder of 5角 SEC shortened the several days for customers to pick up their laundry in traditional service mode to one hour in fast service pattern, simplified the complicated laundry price category to 5 grades and initiated pay first and service later mode. The cumbersome machine in 30 to 40 kilograms used in laundry factory was renovated to small one that fits into laundry store. The conveyer belt in garments factory was introduced in laundry store. Cold pressing stand is used to replace press machine. Therefore, an ordinary modern laundry store which is both natural and right in our eyes is actually the fruit of painstaking efforts made by a few generations. During this long process, the forerunners have accumulated plenty of experiences and made both laundry work flow and efficiency optimal.

Founded in 1912, KREUSSLER is a family enterprise of 4 generations and enjoys the longest history in 3 top dry cleaning aids manufacturers. In addition, KREUSSLER is also a well-known pharmaceutical company and has a strong R & D ability in chemistry industry.
